Sean Dietrich to present Friday night keynote presentation at 2022 SCWC


We're so excited to announce that Sean Dietrich will present our Friday

night keynote session at the 2022 Southern Christian Writers Conference

in Birmingham.


Sean Dietrich is a columnist, novelist, and podcast host, known for his commentary on life in the American South. His work has appeared in Newsweek, Southern Living, Garden and Gun, the Birmingham News, and many other publications. He's authored 13 books, including his most recent Will the Circle Be Unbroken?: A Memoir of Learning to Believe You’re Gonna Be Okay (Zondervan Books). Other books include the novels The Incredible Winston Browne and Stars of Alabama and the essay collections On the Road, Whistling Dixie, Caution: This Vehicle Makes Frequent Stops for Boiled Peanuts, The South's Okayest Writer, and others.


His "Sean of the South" podcast is a popular, highly-streamed podcast where he shares recordings of his presentations across the South. Listen to his podcast HERE to get a glimpse of the treat we're in for at the SCWC.

Sean's keynote talk will be on Friday, June 3 at 6 p.m. and will be followed by a light reception and book signing opportunity. Tickets for "A Night with Sean Dietrich" will be available for $2o to those not attending the rest of the conference.

The SCWC takes place on June 3-4 at Valley View Baptist Church in the Leeds area of Birmingham, Alabama. In addition to Dietrich's keynote session, the conference includes 15 workshops on a variety of writing topics, meeting with agents and publishers, breakout sessions, a book room, share time, three meals, and much more!
