There's always something special about making new friends and building the writing community!
At the "Write What you Love and Love What you Write" winter workshop on Feb 5 in Hattiesburg, we had the privilege of doing just that--as we welcomed 31 in-person participants (many who had never attended a SCWC event) and had additional attendees taking part through a virtual broadcast.
The workshop, which focused on connecting what you love about writing and then making your writing as professional as possible, was held at Bellevue Baptist Church in Hattiesburg (thanks to our wonderful host, Larke Ready).
It consisted of four workshops and a special share time that allowed participants to share their works-in-progress with other members. Breakfast and lunch were included as well.
Thank you to everyone who came out to the workshop, and to those of you who participated online.
We look forward to more regional workshops in the future (and already have plans for ones in new places next year).
