Meet with agents and publishers at the 2021 Southern Christian Writers Conference

We are so pleased to be able yet again to offer one-on-one consultations with agents and publishers as part of the annual Southern Christian Writers Conference. All attendees will have the option to meet with up to three of our publishing representatives as part of their conference fee.

This year's SCWC will take place on June 4-5 and will be a hybrid event; there will be limited in-person attendance with vaccine requirements at a Birmingham, Alabama area church and full virtual capability for ALL participants (those in-person and all others registered). Our agents and publishers will all meet with attendees on a virtual basis through private Zoom calls.

The following professionals will be with us this year to meet with participants in one-on-one consultations:

Sally Apokedak, Agent, Apokedak Literary Agency

Mary Claire Branton, Publisher, Charlie's Port

Martine Fairbanks, Publisher, Soncoast Publishers

Rob Jackson, Editor, Soncoast Publishers

Katy Kauffman, Editor, Refresh Bible Studies

Edwina Perkins, Publisher, Harambee Press

Karen Porter, Publisher, Bold Vision Books

Ellen Sallas, Publisher & The Author's Mentor

Cheryl Wray, Publisher, SCWC Books & Southern Story Books

Once you've registered for the SCWC, you will be sent an email asking if you'd like to request a private consultation with any of these representatives. You will be able to select your top three choices and you are guaranteed to receive one consultation and may be able to have up to three of them.

SCWC staff will arrange for your consultation time, and you will be given instructions on what you need to have with you for your meeting.

These consultations are free with your SCWC registration. (Of course, you are not required to do them.)

This is an excellent opportunity to meet with professionals and receive advice on your book project. We've had many SCWC members have their books published after meeting with agents, editors, and publishers at the annual conference.

Registration for the 2021 SCWC will open on April 10. Stay tuned to this blog, the Southern Christian Writers website, our monthly emails, and the SCWC Facebook group for full information and updates.

The SCWC celebrates 30 years in 2021 of providing information and inspiration for both published and aspiring writers. Please let us know if you have any questions; you can email coordinator Cheryl Wray at scwritersconference@gmail.com.
